Can A/C Re-New damage my A/C system?

No. A/C Re-New was specifically designed to improve residential, commercial and automotive air conditioning systems. The product has undergone extensive third-party industry standard tests to ensure that it does not negatively impact the refrigerant or metal components in your system. In fact, the testing indicated that A/C Re-New improved thermal conductivity, reduced wear and tear, and reduced corrosion in both refrigerant and metal components.

Can A/C Re-New leak out of my A/C system?

No. The A/C Re-New resides in the compressor lubricant. If there was a leak in your system, only very small traces of A/C Re-New might leak out.

Will adding A/C Re-New void my entire A/C warranty?

No. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act indicates that manufacturers can not simply void your warranty just because A/C Re-New was introduced into the system. More importantly. A/C Re-New is backed by Nu-Calgon's Satisfaction Guarantee. Nu-Calgon even provides for its own warranty should the need arise.

Where does the sludge/build-up go?

Any oil build-up that results from years of service is normally returned to its original state by the product. Any remaining build-up is collected by the internal filtration system and remixes with the system's oil.

What is SEER?

It is an acronym that stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating. It is rating that determines how energy efficiency of your system.

If I drain the oil, do I have to replace the A/C Re-New?

Benefits

What type of electricity savings should I expect?

Electricity savings is highly dependent on the current state of your air conditioning system. Newer systems typically experience fewer immediate savings than older systems due to the fact that they are in better condition. Overall, we have experienced anywhere from 0% (brand new system) to 18% (older system) savings.

If the electricity savings are more prevalent in older systems, if I have a newer system do I need the product?

Yes. Remember, a key, proven benefit is that A/C Re-New reduces wear, in addition to refrigerant and metal decomposition. This means that your air conditioning system will last longer, incur fewer maintenance issues, and operate closer to new condition than if you did not have the product.

What type of results should I expect?

Again, the results are highly dependent on the current state of your air conditioning system. In most cases, our customers have experienced an immediate electricity, temperature, and noise reduction. We have yet to see a case where the product did not reduce at least one of the three electricity, temperature or noise.

Is there any type of guarantee?

Yes, Nu-Calgon provides a Satisfaction Guarantee. In addition, Nu-Calgon provides a limited supplemental warranty discussed in the Benefits section of this site.
